The 9th day of November is observed as Microtia Awareness Day. It was designated to help raise awareness about the condition and how it can be treated. The goal is that by increasing public awareness, more children with microtia will have access to treatment options that are currently unavailable in their country or region.
People around the world need to know what microtia is so they understand why this day exists and how it has made a difference in some people’s lives.
Microtia Awareness Day celebrates not only those who have overcome the odds but also reminds us of all of our responsibility in taking care of these little ones who are still fighting for their hearing today.
To celebrate Microtia Awareness Day, people can learn more about microtia and donate to their favorite microtia charity.
History Of Microtia Awareness Day
The Ear Community Organization was founded by Melissa Tumblin after her daughter was born with Microtia. The organization works tirelessly towards raising awareness of this condition and providing support for those affected by it all around the world
Microtia Awareness Day started as an idea originating from one family’s need to search answers online due to them being unable to find any information about what causes or cures micro Noticias on their own child’s behalf and has since grown into something much more than expected-both in scope (more people are having disorders like these) but also heightening hopes that someday soon they will know how this can be fixed permanently.
