Why High Five Day?

The tradition of High Five began rather accidentally during the 1977 baseball game! As Los Angeles Dodgers Dusty Baker hit a home run, he greeted his teammate Glenn Burke with raised hands over their heads and they have been doing it ever since. It Started Just For Fun But People Have Found That They Can Reigniteasions By Giving Them This New Strategy For Keeping Scores Tied Or Winning Games. High Fives Can Also Help People Who Are Struggling With Depression, Anxiety, Or Stress.

The high five is a gesture that has been seen in both sports and everyday life for centuries. It was first introduced back when Mont Sleets’ dad had army buddies, who would greet each other with High Fives to show their division name! The original significance behind this particular hand sign was all about divisions amongst soldiers but now people use it as a congratulatory move or even just because they want to 🙂

This day is all about celebration, no matter how small your accomplishment or achievement. And if you believe that life deserves a high five then this challenge will make it happen!

The original intention for the High Five Day was to raise awareness about cancer and its effects on people who are diagnosed late with their diagnosis because there isn’t always enough time left in order prevent further damage from occurring throughout the treatment process- which can be chemotherapy drugs/medication (some may even require hospice care). Studies show 75%+ survive beyond two years after being diagnosed National High Five Day lets us celebrate life and all of its accomplishments, both big and small!

This day is also a reminder to take care of your and your family’s health by taking them for regular checkups.

When you’re an introvert, it can be hard to know how else other people might celebrate successes besides with words alone- but there are plenty high fiving gestures around! If this sounds like something that would work well in yours then go ahead & let the gesture do all the work 🙂 The culture surrounding High Fives has become so widespread across international borders too which means it’s another great way to sync up between US-based lifestyles while getting into other cultural celebrations worldwide.

Today is also a day of fun and encouragement for nonprofit groups! Many challenges can be completed to raise money. One popular one, the High Five Challenge has you give out five high fives throughout your day to make others feel better about themselves or their life situation – all while supporting kids who suffer from chronic illnesses like muscular dystrophy. The funds collected go towards helping these special children get some athletics services along with art programs too; it’s something worth doing if we’re feeling down ourselves…or want to support our friends/family members during hard times.
