National Play Outside Day / November 6, 2021 – How to Celebrate National Play Outside Day?

National Play Outside Day is an annual event that has become a nationwide celebration of the importance of outdoor play and physical activity. The day was first created by Dr. Mehmet Oz in 2008, but it did not take off until 2014 when he partnered with Senator Robert Kennedy Jr. to promote National Play Outside Day as a way to get Americans more active and improve public health. As we head into Thanksgiving this year, what better time than now to talk about how you can celebrate National Play Outside Day!

History Of National Play Outside Day

In 2011, Aaron Wiggans and Rhonda D. Abeyta founded National Play Outside Day to honor the gift of play! Today is a day that encourages healthful habits for life by reminding us all about exploring our surroundings outside-and playing with friends or family members in whatever way feels right at any given time

I hope you enjoy this video from learning site com on Youtube where they talk specifically about why it’s important not to be too serious while encouraging people to get out there and play some days ; )

It’s important to remember that National Play Outside Day is about celebrating the gift of play! It doesn’t matter what you’re doing—it just matters that you get out there and have fun. You can sit on a park bench or go for a hike, but it will be up to YOU as the person celebrating this day with your family and friends to determine how you want to play outside! If that means finding a local park or trail, check out this list of 50 State Parks Across America That Will Make You Feel Like A Kid Again for inspiration.

Celebration Ideas & Activities

The summer is over and the leaves on trees start changing color but don’t worry; we’ll still help you with your landscaping needs. This month our projects will include cleaning up around properties as well as raking mulch or turning soil for gardens!

Hiking is a great way to get outside and enjoy nature. Hike through local parks or go on trails near your home, but be prepared for the weather! Check out this list of outdoor activities you can do to visit new places while staying active: swimming lessons at the pool nearest you; climbing playgrounds around town (hopefully there are some close by), playing catch with friends old school style using only one Rodgers & Hammerstein song each time–catch me if you can!!! If stepping away from video games sounds too difficult try taking up kickball so that running back across fields doesn’t seem quite so bad…
